Twenty-seven microinsurance coordinators (MICs) and microinsurance supervisors (MISs) were oriented on Sagip Negosyo product and procedures in subsequent forums held in Calbayog and Basey, Samar last November 8 and December 13.
The forums, jointly organized by RIMANSI and CARD insurance group, intend to familiarize the frontliners on the product features, claims and enrollment procedures, remittance and claims requirements. More so, the orientation emphasized their roles in promoting Sagip Negosyo as a means to manage risks (i.e. typhoon, flood, fire) in their business. Resource persons include key personnel from CPMI and CaMIA.
Sagip Negosyo, a non-life calamity microinsurance product, is one of the key initiatives of the PREMIUM project designed to improve resiliency of sari-sari storeowners from calamities. Next orientations on the microinsurance product will be organized in other cities and municipalities of Samar and Leyte.
