Training of Trainers on Effective Presentation aimed to build on microinsurance education

RIMANSI, with the support of Canadian Co-operative Association (CCA), conducted a three-day Training of Trainers on Effective Presentation last July 18-20. The training aimed to equip the participants with the necessary knowledge, skills, and strategies to effectively facilitate microinsurance education programs.

Working towards honing the trainers on the promotion of microinsurance products, the training was anchored on the key areas of risk managing financial services, Sagip Negosyo, and effective presentation strategies, with the ultimate goal of educating and gaining commitment from their participants in their respective education programs.

The first day focused on discussing risks associated in each life cycle events, risk managing financial services, microinsurance and Sagip Negosyo to establish understanding of microinsurance education program concepts. Meanwhile, the second and third day accented on planning and delivering presentations, making compelling introductions, managing participants’ needs and responses in increasing awareness on value of microinsurance and related products. Series of role playing were also administered to apply the concepts taught, highlighting the promotion of Sagip Negosyo.

Thirty-three participants from Hapinoy, CaMIA, CPMI, CARD MBA, RMSI, RIMANSI and five selected Microinsurance Mutual Benefit Associations (Mi-MBAs) attended the event. The training was conducted under the Bagong Araw Philippines: Rebuilding through Microinsurance and Women’s Microenterprises (PREMIUM) project.
