MiMAP (RIMANSI) conducts Strategic and Work Planning with PBC MBA

Agusan del Sur—From July 2-6, MiMAP (RIMANSI) conducted a strategic planning and work planning sessions with People’s Bank of Caraga MBA (PBC MBA) as part of the Citi Foundation and ICMIF project. The strategic planning component aims to help facilitate an MBA’s respective 3-to-5-year strategy by covering matters such as MBA operations, financing, organization targets, market strategies and the like. Meanwhile, the work plan is part of the market expansion initiative wherein MiMAP helps survey prospective partners for the MBAs to aid in growing outreach of members. This involves looking at the operations and governance of would-be partners, as well as their openness to the proposal.

MiMAP (RIMANSI) Consultant Mr. Julio Jose Banzon and MiMAP (RIMANSI) Executive Director Mr. Jun Jay Perez were the primary facilitators of the sessions.

During day 1 of the strategic planning, Mr. Banzon gave an overview of the strategic planning process and stakeholder analysis. The participants were also asked to revisit their mission and values. For the next two days, the strategic and work planning workshop facilitated by Mr. Banzon and Mr. Perez for the staff and management of PBC MBA developed the MBA’s three year targets and initiatives in areas of finance, operations, marketing and organizational capacity.

6For the final days of the planning, RIMANSI facilitated the operations training of PBC MBA for their Hospital Assistance Pampamilya Insurance (HAPI) plan. It was participated by the management and staff of PBC and PBC MBA. The discussions dealt with the policies and procedures of the new product, financial management and proper reserving and the MBA’s process for enrollment, collection and claims.
