In celebration of RIMANSI’s 10th year in development work, the organization published a magazine report highlighting its journey as a partner of Mi-MBAs, not just in the Philippines, but in other countries particularly in Asia. The title given “RIMANSI @ 10 Transformation for Greater Financial Inclusion” was appropriate to the journey of the organization. The publication featured stages the organization went through, which included the role of key players in the development of RIMANSI.
The crowning moment in RIMANSI’s decade of journey was its transformation from a resource center for Mi-MBA to a stronger and specialized Mi-MBA partner as the Microinsurance MBA Association of the Philippines, Inc. Dr. Jaime Aristotle Alip shared, that in order to “respond better to these challenges, we need to have a formal structure for promoting ownership and participation among Mi-MBAs—the Microinsurance MBA Association. The value proposition is that of pursuing our mission towards greater financial inclusion through one direction, one voice, shared products and services, pooled risks, and mutual protection.”
There is strength in numbers. With the association’s current 15 Mi-MBA partners, the opening of membership to Microinsurance MBAs willing to share the same mission and vision, and the creation of a Mutual Guarantee Fund and a Solvency Risk Protection Process, the future looks brighter for the Mi-MBA industry in the country.
