MANILA – The Microinsurance MBA Association of the Philippines Inc. (MiMAP, also known as RIMANSI) held its 18th Annual General Meeting on March 14 (Tuesday) at ACE Hotel & Suites in Pasig. More than 30 MiMAP Board members and official representatives of MiMAP members were in attendance.

The first activity of the AGM was the Board meeting which started in the morning and was attended by the MiMAP Board of Trustees. Several action items and corresponding actions taken from the previous Board meeting were presented. Following this, the 2022 audited financial statements, and the proposed Mi-MBA Kaagapay Program (Coaching, Training and Mentoring) which aims to provide MBA to MBA technical assistance were approved, among others.

In the afternoon, the General Assembly meeting was participated by the official representatives of MiMAP members. Former MiMAP President Emeteria Quijano and Executive Director Jun Jay Perez detailed the key achievements and plans of the Association for 2022 and 2023, respectively. Additionally, the general membership ratified the Board’s approval of the application for regular membership of Serviamus MBA during the meeting. Thus, a certificate of membership for becoming a regular member of MiMAP was given to Serviamus MBA. The same was awarded to TSPI MBA who became a regular member of MiMAP in 2021.

Former MiMAP President Emeteria Quijano was also awarded in recognition of her service as MiMAP’s President for the year 2021-2023.
Meanwhile, the nomination of the 2023 – 2024 MiMAP Board of Trustees was conducted at the end of the meeting. The election took place the following week, March 20, at the Special Board meeting via Zoom videoconferencing.

A new Board orientation was then held on March 23 (Thursday) via Zoom videoconferencing to familiarize the newly elected Board members on the association’s mission, vision, key thrusts, and programs. MiMAP Trustees Ms. Mylin Chozas (CARD MBA) and Ms. Mercedes Faustino (KCCDMFI) were present in the event.
