The Microinsurance MBA Association of the Philippines, Inc. (MiMAP) is set to undertake two separate projects with the Citi Bank Foundation and the Peace and Equity Foundation, Inc (PEF) backing its pursuit for greater financial inclusion. Both projects are in support of and preparation for the ICMIF 5-5-5, a development strategy that aims to insure five million marginalized household across five continents in the span of five years. The project in partnership with Citi Foundation is set to start this July 2016 and is projected to conclude by January 2018.
The project is anchored towards professional training program for the microinsurers, product development and investment management support to the MBAs. Meanwhile, the project under the PEF aims to develop the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and related training materials to assist MBAs. It will commence in July until November
These projects are viewed as ways to achieve the Association’s ultimate goal to continuously capacitate and guide MBAs to achieve optimum performance. MiMAP looks forward to benefitting its members with projects designed specifically to improve their operations and services that will ultimately translate to clients’ interest.
