Pasig—In the second half of 2018, RIMANSI hosted a total of 266 CARD Center Officers, clients and staff in their headquarters at the Medical Plaza in Ortigas Avenue, Pasig City as part of the Lakbay Aral. Adding together the 197 CARD staff who had the Lakbay Aral for the first half of 2018, a sum total of 463 members of CARD were able to visit and learn of RIMANSI for that year.
The visits begin with a concise video that provides an overview of microinsurance and the concept of an Mi-MBA. The concept of mutuality is introduced as a means for Filipinos to aid each other in matters that cannot be done alone (particularly by equating it to the term “Bayanihan.”) Then, MBAs are presented as the institution that helps foster this status, particularly as a provider of microinsurance among the member-clientele.
This is followed by an introduction of MiMAP (RIMANSI) with particular emphasis on its extensive history, creation and the work that it strives to do. After this part of the Lakbay Aral, the CARD staff and members are guided through office grounds to be introduced to the people behind MiMAP. Afterward, they also meet the staff of RIMANSI Mutual Solution Insurance Agency, Inc. (RMSI) and learn of the microinsurance products that they help provide.
